Batman Doesn’t Eat Domino’s Pizza

Mm, it tastes like rubber, make-up and corruption!

Mm, it tastes like rubber, make-up and corruption!

I’m know that cheap products like to associate themselves with successful movies, but this is just being greedy. Domino’s, in pursuit of a slice of the proverbial pie (pun intended and maliciously so) decided to make a pizza dedicated to The Dark Knight™. My assumption is, the target market for this are rabid Batman™ fanatics who preserve Batman™-related memorabilia in Mylar™.

I would totally understand The Dark Knight™ themed toys, Nokia cellphones, grappling hooks, champagne, hookers and even helicopters, but why pizza? Pizza has no relation to that movie whatsoever. In addition to the fact that it makes very little sense, this ad is so cheesy (yes, I know) it makes me want to vomit into my Batman™ air-sickness bag. Mr. Domino, please, next time introduce a Family Guy Pizza or something, I’m sure that the show’s demographic would be more appreciative of the product link anyway.

The Dark Knight Mini-Review

This movie delivered, hard. It’s what you expect, what you hope and then some more. There is no point writing a full review, because you’re going to see it anyways.

Die Falscher - The Counterfeiters

If you’re only going to see one foreign movie this year, you’re an idiot. See more. Make one them this one: “The Counterfeiters. It won an Oscar, but you probably didn’t know because you were too busy laughing at Stewart making jokes about Angelina Jolie’s many children.

Die Falscher Cover

Die Falscher is a story of Salomon Sorowitsch, the Jewish king of counterfeiting, the greatest money/document faker in the world, who was put into a concentration camp. Thanks to his incredible talent, one of the Nazi officers (ironically, the one who arrested him for his crimes) assembled a team of artists to make counterfeit copies of british and american currencies, in what was the biggest counterfeiting operation in the world. This movie rocks. It’s not gruesome (much) it has some smart humour, but mostly it’s a brilliant drama, about the dilemma of surviving, or dying for a greater cause. See it. NOW!

Office - “A Night At The Ritz”

A Night At The Ritz

I found this album through Yahoo! LaunchCast radio and instantly fell in love with it. Office, the hardest band EVER to find, released the album just recently, and it’s awesome. This alternative/indie/rock outfit really has what it takes to make it big. Great beat, nice vocals and a solid layered sound that sounds fresh, crisp and never boring. If you want to give them a listen, do so on their myspace page, or the official website which offers better quality. Ultimate, this album is a must-have, so pop over to Amazon or iTunes and pick up a copy!
